6 Max Poker Strategy
It's very swingy, and, since I am not constantly aggressive, it's uncomfortable for me. I seem to have more luck at the 6 max. For tourneys i dont have a preference they both keep me entertained I prefer to play 6max. All of this stuff needs to become automatic and part of your decision making.
Up your game with free cardschat membership. This is a discussion on 6 max or 9 max? What do you play and why? It's 6 of 1, half dozen of the other. At a 6, you play more hands, which is, I guess, more fun. At a 9, you better be sure you have the nuts, but there is obviously more money to be made. I'd guess the main difference is your range of starting hands. For cash games I prefer 6 max because it has more action.
For tourneys i dont have a preference they both keep me entertained I seem to have more luck at the 6 max. In cash games I definetely like the 6 max. If you are agressive I suggest the 6 max. You see more flops that way. Is one of them really softer than another or they are rather alike?
Thanks in advance, this question is really bothering me cause building a bankroll is very tough for me now dowstricks like me a lot. So 6max is more profitable imo. I only play FR if I'm underolled or playing more tables than my norm. I like the 9 max more cause you can play tighter! At a 6 person table you have to play more hands and much more aggressiv.
Many people push with bad cards and it becomes a lottery I play at six. I feel that at the nine player tables, my hands are tied. Can't mix up my style. When switching from FR to 6-max its important that you change up your game. Most people will either play too tight or too loose at a 6-max table the people that switch from FR usually continue to play their tight game because it worked well for them in FR but what they don't realize is that they need to play a wider range of starting hands.
Одна рука автоматически прошлась по собственному телу вниз, и я начала ласкать чувствительную сочащуюся щель. Тетки так и пытаются произвести на вас хоть какое-то впечатление. She grabbed it and slid it down. He panicked. - Ошибкой. Невеста внезапно захотела секса, и поскольку жених готовился к церемонии, она соблазнила его свидетеля.
In 6-Max Poker Strategy Mistakes — Part 1 I talked about the most common 6-max strategy mistakes regulars and beginner poker players make. I talked about playing ace rag, calling 3-bets with too many hands and assuming other players think like you. They sit down and play X hands from early position, X hands from late position, C-bet certain boards, give up on certain boards and double barrel on certain cards. This is all fine and good, you need to know these things in order to be a winning poker player.
However, if your not adjusting your play dramatically based on your opponents different tendencies you are leaving a lot of money on the table. For example, the following adjustments need to become automatic for you in order to get the largest winrate possible:.
If I am the preflop caller I am looking at there aggression frequency based on each street. All of this stuff needs to become automatic and part of your decision making. This is in a similar light to my last point. You are definitely leaving money on the table if your not making a conscious effort to play lots of pots with the weak players.
I would go as far as saying that you need to be making -EV preflop vacuum decisions, IE calling with weaker hands because your equity disadvantage preflop will be made up a ton by all the postflop mistakes the fish will make. A simple example of this is say a fish raises from early position and its folded to me in the blinds. My postflop advantage is so huge and my opponent will make so many mistakes I can play very weak hands, without position, very profitably.
I wrote a great article about table selection that you need to read. You need to be looking for tables with fish on them and specifically looking to have tight players on your left, loose players and fish on your right.
The description and rules of the game are found online. The game is very popular, because the house edge is reasonable, and because of the trips bet pay table. Most of the post-flop decisions are fairly normal bet when you have something, otherwise check. However, there are some situations on the flop where you need to check bottom or small pocket pairs. Conversely, there are times when you bet a draw, or a good kicker. On the river, my strategy table tells you when to call 1x with good kickers.
The following strategy simulates at 2. I find that people play quite differently from basic strategy. Granted, my site is the first to publish strategy for post-flop play, but I thought that people would instinctively figure it out. On the flop, people check pairs, waiting to just call on the river. Conversely, on the river, people frequently call with a bad kicker.
Near-optimal play is very simple, and easy to master. If your starting hand is equal to, or better than the hands listed in the above table, you raise 4x, and you wait to see if you win.
The table below shows a few pre-flop decision points, and the difference between raising 4x and just checking. And, you should check your pocket pair if the board is suited, unless you have a flush draw, or there are smaller cards on the board, as described in the strategy table. Generally, you will only consider betting outside straight draws of JT98 or better. If the board is paired, you can bet a T draw if your cards are T9, otherwise the first rule applies. Also, only bet the straight draws mentioned when both your hole cards play, or your kicker is an overcard to the board.
Interestingly, you should bet a gutshot to an A-high straight when you have nut kicker. Also, bet any 5th nut flush draw if there are any board cards smaller than your lowest card. The same goes for paired boards. Bet any 4th nut flush draw, or 5th nut draw and both your cards are higher than the board singleton.
